Goodbye to Franz the Bookbeast. Congratulations to his new owner, Marta. Her blog is
Writing in the Water. She is a Nanowrimo winner this year. *applause* Now she has a Bookbeast that will unlock her inner surrealist. One has to ask, what might December bring?

Bookbeasts are charming phylacteries for writers. To find out more about them, visit the
Bookbeast Store. I would like to give away three more Bookbeasts before Christmas. Would you like one? Tell me which and why.

Marta eagerly awaits her true surrealist love and the coming of December.
Your Bookbeasts are so horribly adorable! What a brilliant idea.
Congratulations to Marta - for the beast and the nanowrimo success.
I neeeeeeed EMILY ... to help me write my memoir... through my cat's voice. I'm only on chapter two.... help, please! Send Emily ASAP! My essay, "myPod," was published in skirt! Magazine in October. Humble beginnings. Emily would really really help.
Oh I would LOVE to have Emily. She is perfect, because I call my daughter Emily my little bookchild. She is only 16 months old, but she loves her some books. Sometimes I'm reading books to her until I'm just flipping pages with my eyes closed and saying "Oh, look! Hmmm Where's the... um... puppy... look! Oh, very good... uh-huh..."
Plus I need some surrealist love to remind me how crazy life is and how we simply wouldn't want it any other way... I have this issue with my fiction characters... I can't really be mean to them. I think Oh these poor people, let me just save them! But that makes for a booooring book. People just getting saved from their own stupidity...
